RED Shirt Pride Day Orlando is an annual tradition that invites you to wear a red shirt to The Magic Kingdom on the first Saturday in June, inspired by the original 30 or 40 people with “kindred spirits” that bravely met at Magic Kingdom back in 1991.

The Red Shirt Day
- Next Edition: Saturday 7th June, 2025.
- What started as a social gathering has grown to become one of the longest running, most iconic events in LGBTQ+ history. RED Shirt Pride Day has become a global phenomenon, with the first Saturday of June will now known as RED Shirt Pride Day Around the World!
- What better way to kick off Pride Month than people around the world wearing RED as a celebration of life in all of its different colors, shapes, sizes, genders, orientations, nationalities, ages, abilities, and status. The epicenter of this event is The Magic Kingdom in Orlando.
How to Participate?
- At the Orlando theme parks, regular ticket admission is required to participate in each of these events.
- However, these Pride Month events aren’t official Disney events, which means there are no separate tickets needed and no itinerary — so you are free to enjoy the parks as you like.
- Just don’t forget to wear your favorite red shirt and visit the theme parks during the following Gay Days events:
The Pride Cup
- The Pride Cup: A multi-sport LGBT+ competition held each year beginning in 2021 during the first weekend in June in Orlando. We will host all levels of competition. The spirit of the competition will be “Be Kind Champion” to coincide with the RED Shirt Pride Day worldwide mission.

- We Are One – An Extravaganza for Diversity & Inclusion. A Star-studded fundraiser and benefit held at House of Blues at Disney Springs in Orlando.
