The annual Hot and Steamy Festival take place each February in Port Douglas. The event has become the de-facto warm up festival for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

Hot & Steam Program
February in the tropics is hot, humid and steamy! And it is a great time to visit. Fewer crowds, balmy evenings and everything is lush and green.
Awaiting the 2024 program – Here is an outline of the last event as a guide:
- Get L’eid Luau @ Zinc – Fire Pits, Food Trucks, Flambe, and Ice. Shake this up with tropical wonders from Zinc’s mixologists adding froze, flare, finesse and experience our version of street food in the tropics.
- Taste of the Tropics Long Lunch @ Salsa – Featuring a welcome cocktail and a stunning 3 course mouth-watering fusion of global culinary delights and local produce, Salsa will create a brilliantly varied menu for a long lunch.
- White Party @ Sugar Wharf – Opening dance party get ready for a banger of an evening on the stunning Sugar Wharf, overlooking Dickson’s Inlet and the Coral Sea.
- Beachside Cocktail Party – The Surfy – Situated overlooking beautiful Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas, the Surf Club (‘The Surfy’) is hosting a meet and greet cocktail party. Singles, couples and thruples all welcome.
- Main Festival Party @ Central Hotel – Featuring a production extravaganza inspired by some of the world’s most famous pop stars.
- Soaked Pool Party @ Oaks Resort – Get SOAKING wet at what promises to be an incredible day at the stunning Oaks Resort. Wet or dry, don’t miss the fabulous Millie Minogue and her sexy dancing boys.
