The Gala Drag Queen Torremolinos takes place during the Torremolinos Carnival, one of the busiest weekends of the year.

Carnival in Torremolinos is one of the highlights of the cultural calendar, brightening up the town after the long Winter. The event attracts thousands of locals and visitors from across Spain and beyond for a weekend of fun parties, parades and the perfect opportunity to dress up! This will be the 6th edition.

The Drag Queen Gala
- Next Edition: Awaiting date, lineup and venue confirmation.
- Think of the event as a mixture of part festival part vogue ball! There are three prizes ranging from 1, 200 EUR to 300 EUR. Each drag act gets 5 minutes to perform and wow the audience.
- The event is organized by the Association of Gay Merchants of Torremolinos (Acogat) with the collaboration of the City Council.
- The jury, composed of professionals related to the fashion industry in Torremolinos, will select the winners based on originality, imagination and the ease and grace with which the drag queen is able to walk in their outfit.
- The winner will be crowned as Drag Queen 2024 and participate in the Torremolinos Pride parade in June.
- Last year’s event, which attracted over 4,000 people, presented some of the gaudiest costumes imaginable and this year promises to be equally as spectacular.
- Lacquered wigs, shocking makeup, ostentatious costumes and fast-fire, brazen humor is certain to make this a night to remember.

The Venue
- Torremolinos Gala Drag Queen is one of several events taking place during the carnival festivities.
- At 8 pm the event kicks off in the Auditorio Príncipe de Asturias, one of the largest auditoriums in Andalusia.
- Note in 2024 – The event is ticketed – EUR 6 per entry – Doors open at 6 pm, show starts at 8. The venue has a bar and fills fast. Arrive early. The venue has a capacity of approximately 1,700.
- The venue is a 3 minute taxi ride or a 15 minute walk from the gay district.
