Freedom New Year Festival in Maspalomas promises to be Europe’s hottest Winter Festival in 2023 with a 5 days of fun in the sun, the perfect way to welcome the new year.
- December is one of the most popular months to escape to Gran Canaria. Everything is under one roof in the Yumbo centre, home to 95% of the island’s gay bars and clubs. Maspalomas hotels sell out months in advance, so book early.
The New Year Festival

- The producers of the Freedom Festival host their New Year Festival on the final weekend of the year and promise an epic event to rival some of the biggest NYE circuit festivals, with the added bonus of guaranteed good weather. (visitors can expect lows of 17 and highs of 24 degrees).
- Update: Note this year the event returns to the Yumbo with an outdoor stage and full program of live events for 2024.

Freedom New Year Festival Maspalomas 2024/25
- Events are currently being developed, but if the end of Summer event is anything to go by, expect large stage shows, international DJs, celebrities, gaggles of drag queens and a host of pool parties.
- For this year, organizers plan a large outdoor stage in the Yumbo centre with a VIP zone and live acts.
- Add to that the lively scene of the Yumbo and you have all the ingredients for a perfect end of year bash.

- Events include 2 pool parties, and 4 night parties in the YUMBO centre clubs, plus two open air parties on the Freedom Stage, (Same location as the Pride stage).
- Expect the return of The Freedom Ice Cream Pool Party at Seven Hotel and Wellness and the legendary New Year’s Eve –Nochevieja party.
- Night time parties include the Pink Party, Airlines Party and more at Mantrix and feature sexy GoGo Dancers, Big Dark Rooms, XXX Movies Zone, Cabins and more.
