Fire Island Leather Weekend takes place each year in May and is organised by Exelsior M.C, a social and charitable Club for Gay men celebrating leather.
- Fire Island Villas and hotels fill up almost a year in advance. Search for one now and reserve!
The Weekend
- Next Edition: Friday 16th – Sunday 18th May, 2025.
- Fire Island Leather Weekend is the party to kickstart your Summer a little early!
- The event is one of New York City‘s best leather parties benefiting Fire Island organisations.
- Events take place over the entire weekend.
- Highlights include a Social hour at the Ice Palace nightclub at the Grove Hotel, followed by a Master and Slave auction!
- On the Saturday events include a leather breakfast, a cocktail hour, a Sirs and Cigar afternoon.
- The evening continues with a cocktail hour and a dinner followed by the Mr Fire Island Leather contest.
- Sunday finishes the event with a Leather Brunch and a closing ceremony.

The Venues
- Island Breeze Restaurant – a classic American restaurant with great water views.
- Floyd’s – restaurant in Cherry Grove and a must for breakfast. Try their famous egg sandwiches and fresh muffins.
- Belvedere Guest House – Hosts several parties and events, located on the bay front at Cherry Grove.
- Stay in a Classic Fire Island home, 400ft, with direct beach access.
Getting to Fire Island
- Take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR)
- From Penn Station in Manhattan, take the LIRR to either Bay Shore, Sayville, or Patchogue stations, depending on which part of Fire Island you’re visiting.
- Bay Shore: Access to Ocean Beach, Seaview, and other communities.
- Sayville: Access to Fire Island Pines, Cherry Grove, and Sailors Haven/Sunken Forest.
- Patchogue: Access to Davis Park and Watch Hill.
- Connect to the Ferry
- Once at the LIRR station, you can take a taxi or shuttle to the respective ferry terminal.
- Ferries will take you directly to your desired Fire Island community.
