Currently there is no hot tub on the property. Also, while this looks like the ideal home to get your DJ/DANCE/POOL PARTY on– it’s really not. This is a place designed for quiet relaxation. We follow all rules and regs from the City of Palm Springs which means no loud amplified music or parties.

PARKING
There is a strict limit of 8 guest cars allowed for this property, per City ordinance. 2 can be parked in the garage, 3 on the driveway and the remaining 3 in the designated spaces in front of the tennis courts.

As one of the most spacious rental properties in the area, this home was beautifully updated and professionally redecorated in 2015 with all-new furnishings, beds, bathrooms, flooring, art, and accessories. If you’re looking to spend a day out and about, you can take a ride on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway (six miles west) or go for a hike in beautiful Tahquitz Canyon (three miles south).

Lazy River has: 6 bedrooms plus a bunk set in a small room for use by 2 (12 yrs and under) children, [You can have 14 guests [12 adults maximum; 2 must be children 12 years of age and under] 6 bathrooms, 5 fireplaces, 4 kitchens (including the full outdoor BBQ kitchen on the island), putting greens, a rec room with pool table and video game machine.

A work out gym, an outdoor swim-up/walk up bar, and the amazing pool with an island in the middle on which are the BBQ kitchen, covered patio and fireplace, beach entry and sandy beach with hammock.

The spa is in a cave with a slide from the top. The river has a current that can be turned on that will propel your raft around the island. The property is like your own personal resort; a private Disneyland!

Water features (slide and moving river) are on a separate meter and billed at a per kw hr rate per kw hr used. You can use these features as little or as much as you wish. They are not necessary for the enjoyment of the pool and spa. It is like an E ticket ride at Disneyland. It costs apx $40/hr for the moving river; $10/hr for the slide or waterfalls.

The main house has 4 large bedrooms, 3 Kings with large ensuite bathrooms and one Queen with adjacent full bath. There are two Casitas. The South Casita has a King bedroom, an apartment size kitchen and bath with shower. The North Casita has a Queen bedroom; it also has a Full/Twin bunk set in a second bedroom, a shared bath with a tub/shower combo, an apartment size kitchen with table and 4 chairs and its own living room. This unit can sleep 2 adults and 2 children.

All bedrooms have their own flat screen TV. The entire complex can accommodate 12 adults plus 2 children under age 13. Four (4) additional daytime (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.) guests are allowed.

RATE QUOTED BY AIRBNB does not include: POOL HEAT ranging from $150 to $250 per day; or an A/C SURCHARGE ranging from $75 to $150 per day from June thru September and Tax @ 11.5%. These Fees are due directly to owner after you have booked through Airbnb. Airbnb does not charge commission on these additional fees. Also, Water Features are additional per usage. A separate cash deposit is due on arrival in the amount of $500. Water feature use is deducted from this deposit and any remaining portion is returned on departure. Water features run apx. $40/hr for the moving river; $10/hr for the slide or waterfalls.

The space
When undertaking the renovation, I sought to preserve as many mid-century features as possible while incorporating contemporary features you’ll also get to enjoy. I cannot emphasize enough how the park like setting in the back yard which incorporates mountain views, an expansive lawn, extensive flower beds and an iconic Mexican Palm tree make the outdoor experience as relaxing as you can find. You will love it. Also, the bedrooms are divided into two buildings — the main house and the casita. In many homes, the casita is a secondary space. In this house, it is an over the top luxurious 1200 feet of delightful living that enables more space for privacy or a designated work space for those who may be working remotely.
